As the director of admissions, I invite your family to discover a better way to learn.

As Williamsburg's premier co-educational, independent institution, Walsingham offers a holistic education that combines the best of traditional teaching with the latest in innovative experiential learning. In addition, we are deeply committed to the character and moral development of our students. By incorporating the Mercy values of service and compassion in all that we do, we're able to produce successful graduates — and even better humans.

Admission to Walsingham Academy is selective with consideration given to the applicant's past academic performance, teacher recommendations, test scores, entrance exam and personal interview. Although metrics are an important part of the process, we seek to not simply qualify a student by a test score. Instead, we strive to get to know our applicants as individuals with unique characteristics, strengths, interests and contributions to the community. During this process, we work to provide an individualized experience for our applicants and connect them with both academics and activities throughout the school.

While our website is an excellent source for information, I invite you to visit Walsingham Academy. Please submit your inquiry online or contact the Office of Admissions directly.

I look forward to working with your family.
