Academic Achievement

Walsingham Academy offers a rigorous education designed to prepare students for college and beyond.

While attending the Upper School, students have the opportunity to earn college credit in up to 20 different Advanced Placement and Honors courses that vary from year to year according to student interest.

Academy Traditions

Walsingham’s traditions serve as the cornerstones of each academic year. Beginning with Mercy Day and ending with commencement, our students are at the center of each event.

These traditions compose the memories our alumni share at reunions year after year.

State-of-the-Art Classrooms

The math and science Departments offer a host of state of the art equipment to allow students to engage directly in inquiry-based scientific and mathematical investigations.

A few of the Advanced Placement courses offered in math and science are chemistry, physics, environmental science, psychology, and calculus.

Integrated Technology

Students in Grades 9-12 bring their own device. Within the recommended hardware parameters recommended by Walsingham, students have the freedom to select a device that meets individual computing preferences.

Access to primary source materials, current research, and experts, web-based tools support the day-to-day learning in each classroom.

Students in our Upper School, grades 8-12, always rise to meet the demands of our rigorous academic program. By incorporating 21st century skills into all facets of our curriculum, students spend time preparing for their future, not just prepping for a test. Our highly-qualified, engaging Upper School teachers guide students as they explore new territory and discover hidden talents. Through active participation in our challenging college preparatory program and access to a wide-range of extracurricular activities, Upper School students leave Walsingham with a profound understanding of life beyond the classroom.
