Varsity Volleyball is using enthusiasm to power their season. The team has a large schedule ahead of them, and they are using every practice and game as learning opportunities. Coach Sara Dowell credits her returning players and their dedication. “The team continues to benefit from the skills, strengths, and tenacity of the returners. Our older players welcomed several eighth graders to the varsity program who have proved to provide valuable enthusiasm and coachability.”
Varsity Volleyball is gaining in numbers thanks to the addition of these eighth graders. The volleyball program is looking to build in strength and numbers, and it is very promising to see a team of so many young players who have the desire and dedication to get better. The team is led by lone senior, Kennedy Saumier. “We want to win this year, and I think we have the teamwork and positive attitudes to achieve that goal,” Kennedy remarks on the season.
The team has set goals of improving their endurance, using effective communication, keeping a positive mindset, and giving 100% unified effort in both practices and games. Coach Dowell believes her team “has loads of potential for seeing a winning season, as they continue to put in the work and build the program.”
