On Friday, May 20th the Trojan Track and Field team travelled to Sports Backer Stadium for the VISAA State Meet. The Trojans competed against some tough opponents, but still a few individuals were standouts.

Emma Lobash placed 1st Team All-State for her 1st place finish in the 300 meter hurdles and 2nd Team All-State with a 2nd place finish in the 100 meter hurdles. With this accomplishment, Emma won her 3rd individual state championship.

Elias Carr earned 2nd Team All-State honors for his 3rd place finish in the 100 meter hurdles. He also placed 4th in the high jump, 6th in the triple jump, and 9th in the 4x100 meter relay.

Jake Falcone finished in the top ten twice. He placed 4th in the 3200 meter run and 9th in the 1600 meter run.

Eighth grader Hannah Daniel placed 12th in her discus debut at the VISAA meet.

The Trojan’s boys team placed 5th in the 4x800 run and 9th in the 4x100.

In addition to these accomplishments, senior Emma Lobash has been selected for the Colonial Road Runner (CRR) Scholarship. This scholarship is given to student-athletes who best exemplify excellence in running, academics, volunteerism and overall citizenship. Emma was one of nine local high school seniors selected for this award this year. Congratulations Emma!
