Our Virtual Auction Exceeded Our Expectations! Here Is How We Used The $140,000 Raised.

Thanks to the support from our sponsors, donors, and attendees of the 2021 Virtual Auction back in February, both the Lower School and the Upper School benefitted from the astounding $140,000 that was raised.

The funds were used to purchase a new sound system for Mercy Hall in the Lower School, overhead projectors for both Lower and Upper Schools, an automatic kiln for the Upper School Art Department, and new collaborative desks for Upper School classrooms.

With the outstanding support we were not only able to purchase all of that for the students and faculty, but we were also able to purchase the following:

  • Robotics for the 7th grade
  • A projector for Mercy Hall and McAuley Hall
  • Comprehensive readers for the Upper School language arts program
  • Extra laptops for faculty in both the Lower and Upper School
  • New chairs for the Upper School classrooms
  • New chairs and desks for the Upper School science labs
  • Laptop and iPad covers for the Upper School students
  • New chairs and computer equipment for the Upper School computer lab
  • Updates to the Lower School playground equipment
  • New driver's education car

“The Upper School was pleased to receive new desks for multiple classrooms and new chairs for all the classrooms along the main hallway,” says Angie Baker, Director of the Upper School. “Now our chairs match our school colors, and the classrooms look super-snazzy! Thank you all for your generous support of our ongoing work with the students here at Walsingham.”

The 50th Annual Dinner and Auction is just around the corner on Feb. 26, 2022! Tickets are on sale now at www.walsingham.org/auction!

Please note that due to delays caused by Covid-19, the sound system for Mercy Hall, driver's education car, and the updates to the Lower School playground equipment have been on backorder and are expected to be installed by the end of 2021/beginning of 2022.
