Announcing An Exciting New Way To Stream Select Trojans Athletics Contest

As we all dealt with the unprecedented challenges of the pandemic last year, one thing we learned was there was a high demand for the live-streaming of our Trojans’ Athletics events. We are happy to announce that Walsingham has joined the NFHS Network and will now be streaming all of our home indoor athletics contests with our brand new Pixellot system! This state-of-the-art system uses a set of fixed cameras to track the action and produce a high definition livestream including a TV-style score-tracking banner. NFHS Network members can view our broadcasts from their phones, tablets, computers, or smart TVs, using the NFHS app or website. These broadcasts will not only be available live, but will also be available on-demand for those that want to watch the game later.

If you are interested in becoming a subscriber to the NFHS Network, please visit to sign up. Memberships cost $10.99/month or you can buy an annual pass for $69.99/year ($5.83/month). This subscription will grant you access to any games on the NFHS Network, both live and on-demand. Not only will this include all Walsingham home games (indoor sports only), but many other TCIS and VISAA Schools have joined the Network and your subscription would give you the ability to watch select away games as well.

We are very excited to enter our first season using this new system in fall 2021 with our Varsity and JJV volleyball teams. As with anything new, we know there will be a learning curve as we test out the capabilities of the system, but we know that the benefits to our student-athletes and their families will be tremendous. I will be happy to help anyone that has any questions about signing up, how to watch, or anything else as we introduce this exciting upgrade this year. Please check out the below FAQs to learn a little more about what to expect, but if your question is not answered below, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Assistant Athletic Director Mike Brantley via email at or call 757-259-1434.

Q: Will all games be streamed on the NFHS Network?

A: Walsingham will stream all games played in Chismer Gymnasium. This will include volleyball and basketball games at all levels (varsity/JV/JJV). Many schools will also be streaming their home games as well.

Q: Will outdoor sports be streamed as well?

A: Unfortunately, Walsingham will not be streaming any outdoor sports at this time. This is only really possible with a full stadium and a press box so we don’t have that option here. A small number of schools will stream select outdoor events on the network, which you would have access to as a subscriber.

Q: Am I required to subscribe to the NFHS Network?

A: Absolutely not. This membership is something that we are making available for those that want it. If you do not want to use it, there is no requirement.

Q: Can I watch games without a subscription?

A: No. A subscription is required to watch any games on the NFHS Network.

Q: How much does a subscription cost?

A: A subscription costs $10.99/month or you can buy an annual pass for $69.99/year ($5.83/month). All subscriptions will automatically renew at the end of the billing period unless you cancel that option.

Q: Will Walsingham continue to livestream on Facebook Live as well?

A: We currently do not plan to continue using Facebook Live for athletics’ livestreams. This plan is subject to change for select outdoor events, but we will not be using Facebook for any indoor games in Chismer.

Q: How do I subscribe to the NFHS Network?

A:  Go to and click “Subscribe” to sign up.

Q: When is the best time to subscribe?

A: I would recommend waiting to subscribe until the start of the Fall 2021 season. Our first volleyball game is set for Aug. 24 but our first home game streamed on the NFHS Network is not until Sept. 20. If you just wanted to subscribe for our home volleyball games, a one-month subscription would cover almost the whole season.

Q: Can I watch the games on my TV?

A: If you have a smart TV (Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV), you can download the NFHS Network App and watch the games right on your TV!

Go Trojans!
