After competing in a few more meets over Easter break, the Trojans' track & field team will now set their sights on the postseason where they look to continue their run of recent success. The Trojans will compete in the TCIS Championship Meet on Tuesday, May 7, at Norfolk Academy, and the VISAA Championship Meet on Saturday, May 18, in Richmond.

Athlete of the Week (April 22 – April 27): Paul Williams

Paul Williams '22 is a member of the varsity baseball program and this is his second season playing on the Trojans' varsity team.

Paul pitched the first game of the Trojans' trip to the Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Facing off against a tough Monsignor McClancy team from New York, Paul was dominant on the mound. Paul threw a complete game shutout on just 87 pitches while holding his opponent to three hits for the game. The Trojans' 3-0 win helped Paul improve to 6-0 on the mound for the Trojans and he currently leads the entire state of Virginia with 6 wins.

This shutout put Paul's streak of consecutive scoreless innings at 14.2 after he threw a four-inning no-hitter against Bishop Sullivan in his previous start.

Paul and the Trojans will finish off their regular season this week with tough games against Norfolk Academy, Cape Henry, and Southampton Academy. The Trojans will then enter the postseason starting with the TCIS Tournament on Tuesday, May 7.

Congratulations Leyjah and Paul, and Go Trojans!!
