Thanks to the generous support from our sponsors, donors and guests of the 49th Annual Dinner and Auction in February, both sides of the green received some welcome improvements.
In the Upper School, McAuley Hall—home to Masses, performances and student assemblies—received a beautiful, comprehensive upgrade.
The improvements made to McAuley Hall include:
- New flooring
- Fresh painting
- Upgraded lighting
- New sound system
"I am always delighted to visit with alumni who are visiting locally and give them a tour of the Upper School. Without fail, they always reminisce fondly of their time spent in McAuley Hall," Upper School Director Angie Baker said. "It is exciting to have the space refreshed with new paint, lighting, sound, and flooring while still maintaining so much of the structural design and finishes which have meant so much to our alumni throughout the years."

In the Lower School, the computer lab was completely updated with 24 new computers and accessories, which will provide students with a richer technological experience.
"We were not only fortunate that the auction took place prior to Covid-19 closures but, once again, to benefit from the tremendous support from the community," Director of Advancement Lindsey Torres said. "Funds raised from the 49th auction allowed us to move forward with much needed enhancements and upgrades so that our facilities and equipment better reflect the high standards of excellence we set for our students. We are grateful."
Be sure to save the date for the Auction's Golden Anniversary on Feb. 27, 2021! Details will be available in the coming months at walsingham.org/auction.
