Mike Brantley

This week's Athlete of the Week is Martha Page Norsworthy '20. Martha Page is a member of the field hockey team, and this is her fourth season playing varsity for the Trojans.

Last week, Martha Page and her teammates had a busy week, playing games vs. St. Margaret's, at Norfolk Collegiate, and "Under the Lights" against Bruton. Martha Page helped lead her teammates on to a 3-0 week with an impressive showing in all three games.

On Tuesday, the Trojans hosted St. Margaret's. Martha Page scored an incredible seven goals for the Trojans, the highest number of goals in a game in at least six years for the Trojans. Her offensive domination led the Trojans to a 7-0 victory.

On Friday, the Trojans traveled to face Norfolk Collegiate in an important TCIS matchup. The score remained 0-0 throughout regulation and OT so the game went to a shootout to decide a winner. Martha Page, as well as Maggie Menoni '19 and Thalia E-B '20, scored on their attempts to give the Trojans a 3-1 victory in the shootout.

On Saturday, 10/20, Walsingham played their annual "Under the Lights" game against Bruton. Martha Page again led the offensive attack, scoring off a short corner late in the first half to give the Trojans a 1-0 lead. This lead held up for the remainder of the game and once again, the Trojans emerged victorious.

This 3-0 put the Trojans at 7-5 on the season with one week remaining in the regular season before heading into the TCIS and VISAA playoffs. The Trojans will finish off their regular season with an away game at Steward School on Thursday, 10/25.

Congratulations Martha Page, and Go Trojans!!
