IPADS IN THE HANDS OF EVERY STUDENT THIS FALL
Walsingham Academy will take a big step toward integrating technology into every classroom this fall, when every student - from prekindergarten through twelfth grade - will be issued an iPad. It's a feat made possible because of a $300,000 donation to the school’s digital technology program.
Walsingham’s administration is currently working with an Apple strategy team to integrate the digital technology program in their school, according to a press release. The goal of the program is to help students and teachers develop and use 21st century skills of collaboration, communication, problem solving, and teamwork in an innovative educational atmosphere. GET SCHOOLED: WALSINGHAM TEEN GETs CITY ORDINANCE CHANGED
It sounds corny, but if I’ve learned anything in this job, it’s that sometimes it really only takes one person to effect change. Take Gabrielle Granger for example. The 16-year-old Walsingham Academy student and Williamsburg native wanted to share her love of the city as a tour guide this summer. TROJANS MAKE HISTORY- WALSINGHAM TRIO EARNS ALL-STATE HONORS
Walsingham’s varsity boys basketball team has made school history. For the first time ever, three of its players have been named to the VISAA Division II All-State team. WALSINGHAM APPEARS ON THE HAMPTON ROADS SHOW
Sister Mary Jeanne, along with several Walsingham Upper and Lower School students, made a guest appearance with Mickey Chohany, Walsingham parent and owner of Second Street Bistro on the Hampton Roads Show. Mickey and Second Street Bistro's Executive Chef, Chris Long prepared a special recipe on air, helping the Academy kick-off the annual A Taste of Walsingham Open House.

FROM THE ROOFTOP TO THE CLASSROOM
Walsingham Academy in Williamsburg has come up with a unique way to save energy and educate students at the same time.
