CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS
Clubs and organizations present the student with multiple opportunities to become intellectually, morally, spiritually and physically involved in Academy life. In addition to the Campus Life, the National Honor Society and the National Foreign Language Societies, the following clubs and organizations are available at Walsingham Academy and are open to all eligible students:
Art Service Club – Art Club is open to all students interested in developing their artistic skills outside of the classroom. The club provides the art around the Academy, including scene designs of plays and drama.
Athletics – See below. A separate brochure and handbook is published for Walsingham's Athletic Program.
Contemporary Group – Open to all students. This group provides an avenue of spiritual worship and fellowship as the singers and instrumentalists meet once weekly in preparation for prayer services and liturgies.
Environmental Concerns Club - The Environmental Concerns Club is open to all students. Its purpose is to introduce students to Environmental issues that may affect them locally, as well as nationally. The club also nurtures leadership skills, promotes communication among students, Faculty and Administration, and draws students of differing ages and abilities into the battle to protect our environment. Walsingham's recycling program is just one of the initiatives to get everyone involved, both for members and non-members alike.
Junior-Senior Chorus – This group provides students of various abilities an opportunity to develop a higher level of blending and part-singing. They participate in both the Christmas and Spring programs. Junior-Senior Chorus meets weekly during early dismissal.
Key Club – This club is open to Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. It is a service club designed to develop leadership, fellowship, and citizenship. Members participate in local activities as well as provide numerous services to the Academy community, and join with the local Kiwanians in their annual community service projects.

Madrigals develop the art of "a-capella” singing of the participants from Medieval to present times. It is a tightly structured group that requires strict discipline and finesse.

Drama – The Academy gives a musical production each year in November. The show is open to all students who can sing, act, or dance. Auditions are held at the beginning of the Academy year. Also, there is an opportunity to participate in drama in the Spring. Auditions are held after January exams.
Ruriteens – Students develop leadership, patriotism and service to the community in a service organization closely connected with Ruritan, the largest service organization in Virginia. All students in grades 8-12 develop a greater sense of teamwork and community. Offices are open to any grade and are not restricted according to seniority.
Stage Crew – Open to all students who are interested in working with the light or sound system for the school shows and assemblies, as well as students who are interested in building and painting scenery and sets for productions.
