Upper School

Welcome to Walsingham Academy Upper School. For over 60 years, Walsingham Academy has been proud to be able to carry on the Mercy tradition in Williamsburg. The Upper School has over 300 8th-12th grade students and offers a rigorous college prep curriculum that includes 13 AP courses. Student performance on the College Board SAT consistently exceeds local, state and national averages. On a yearly basis, 100% of our graduating students are accepted into colleges and universities from across the nation as well as international schools. Our most recent graduating class of 55 students received 3.256 million dollars in scholarships and awards.

In addition to providing an outstanding academic program, Walsingham also provides students with many athletic as well as fine and performing arts opportunities. Please visit our athletic pages for a review of our most recent accomplishments.

As a faith-based Catholic school, all Walsingham Academy Upper School students are required to provide service in the community which is modeled after the works of Catherine McAuley, the foundress of the Sisters of Mercy. This past school year, students worked with Housing Partnerships to paint a local home; raised awareness and money for Susan G. Komen through a fashion show; held fundraisers for Operation Smile, contributing enough money to pay for over seventeen operations; and much, much more.
