Philosophy:
Walsingham Academy is committed to working together with parents to provide an exceptional, developmentally appropriate program for our pre-kindergarten children. Utilizing sound child development principles, we strive to provide a safe atmosphere in which children can construct their own knowledge through social interaction and play. We offer each child the gift of being able to develop his or her sense of self through games, laughter, music, art activities, play and experimentation.

For admission to pre-kindergarten, you will need to submit an application and fee and interview with the principal.
Lower School (Grades K - 7)

Admissions Process:

3. Interview with Principal
4. Submit transcript from previous school
(Grades 1 through 7)
Upper School (Grades 8 - 12)

Students wishing to enroll in Walsingham Academy are required to complete an admissions application and satisfactorily complete the Terra Nova. Testing for the Upper School admissions is primarily held in February, though the school does offer admissions testing at other times during the year. The test is scheduled for approximately two hours. For additional information, call 757-259-1430.
In addition to the entrance test, transcripts from the prospective student's present school and an admissions interview between the parents and prospective student and the principal are required.
