We appreciate your interest and consideration of Walsingham Academy for your child's education. Walsingham Academy is a Catholic, independent school serving the greater Williamsburg area, and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
Founded in 1947, Walsingham is a co-educational, college-preparatory school with an enrollment of over 725 students from pre-kindergarten through grade twelve. Established and directed by the Sisters of Mercy in partnership with a lay faculty, Walsingham is committed to the education and development of the whole person through a caring, Christ-centered curriculum. The school inspires in students the values of Christian citizenship, a love of learning, and the responsible expression of their talents and ideas.

Walsingham Academy offers admission to all academically qualified students without regard to religion, race, sex, or national origin. Students wishing to enroll in Walsingham Academy must complete an admissions application and satisfactorily complete an entrance exam. Arrangements to take the entrance exam may be made by contacting the Admissions Office. In addition to the entrance exam, transcripts from the prospective student's present school and an admissions interview with the parents, student, and principal are required.
