A Colonial Road Runners Grand Prix Event, the 5K will support Walsingham Academy’s Athletic Booster Club. The race starts off with a one-mile fun run. Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome!

Schedule:
7-8:15 a.m. - Registration and packet pickup
8 a.m. - One-mile fun run/walk start
8:30 a.m. - 5K run/5K walk start
9:45 a.m. - Awards ceremony

Course:
One mile asphalt (park entrance road), two miles dirt. Wide, hard-packed dirt trails through scenic woods around pond. Portions are flat, with 2 hills.

Shirts:
First 200 registered entrants will receive a short-sleeve T-shirt in their requested size. Race-day entrants will receive shirts while supplies last. Sizes are not guaranteed for race-day entrants.

Awards:
  • Top three overall men and women in the 5K race.
  • Top three men and women in five-year age groups, from 14-and-under through 70-and-over in the 5K race.
  • Top three men and women in the 5K walk.

Directions:
From Interstate 64, take exit 231B (Croaker exit) onto Croaker Road (toward York River). Follow for about ¾ mile and turn right onto Riverview Road. Go about two2 miles and turn left onto Park Road (this is the entrance to York River State Park) and follow to the end.
